The Bethlehem Lacrosse Club was
originally formed in 2001 as
Bethlehem Youth Lacrosse and
changed its name to the Bethlehem Lacrosse Club in 2006. The Club was formed to
provide a developmental and introductory program for elementary level players,
and off-season competitive opportunities for Bethlehem middle and high school
level lacrosse players. Over the years, the Club has focused on teaching the
fundamentals of the game in a fun, relaxed and semi-competitive environment.
Our mission is to ensure that all of our players have an enjoyable experience
with the program while learning the game of lacrosse. At the older levels, our
objective is to begin preparing players for the competitive middle school and
high school lacrosse teams. The club has greatly expanded its offerings since
its beginnings with several hundred players now involved and has programs for
both
boys and girls starting in first
grade
.
The
Bethlehem Lacrosse Club wants children to experience the game of
lacrosse in a friendly and supportive environment. We realize that
families are busy and that many children have other activities during
the week. We encourage players to come to practice so they can learn
the skills of the game, but do not penalize children who may miss
practice time because of other obligations. We love the game of
lacrosse and most of the children who get the chance to play end up
loving it as well.
